THE PHILANTHROPIST
Over the years, I have watched cancer cause pain and suffering, not only for those diagnosed with the disease but for the family members who love and care for those who are suffering. The impact is beyond devastating - I know because both my grandparents and my father were diagnosed and faced the terrible struggle that cancer forces on its victims.
After losing my grandparents to cancer, our family was determined to do something to help those suffering. That’s when we started the Tee Up For Life charity golf tournament. Upon the conclusion of Tee Up For Life in 2021, after 20 successful years, we raised more than $10 million to support the American Cancer Society and cancer research.
While the fight to end cancer feels like a never-ending battle, I am extremely blessed to have been joined by friends and family who share my passion to give back and make a difference.
I am honored to support Aspen Junior Golf, a program that facilitates mentorship, emotional and intellectual development, and the importance of striving for excellence in both academics and sports.
My good friend, Nancy Lopez, is passionate about this foundation. She has been an ambassador to AIM since 1981 and started the Nancy Lopez/ AIM Golf tournament. This annual event continues today, and I am proud to attend, emcee and support her efforts in any way I can.
